Sustainability – For the sake of the environment
Sustainability is important to us – and not just when it comes to coffee! That's why we rely on environmentally friendly, recyclable packaging that preserves the freshness of our coffee while protecting the environment. Even though we're not perfect yet, we're constantly working to optimize our processes and, together with you, make a positive contribution to our planet!

Enjoy coffee in a relaxed manner with Minges – our certified organic coffees come from ecologically grown farms and carry the Rainforest Alliance seal. This means: We not only offer delicious coffee, but also support people and nature in the growing regions. And the packaging? It's not only stylish, but also sustainable! We rely on recyclable materials and use FSC-certified paper from responsible sources for our cartons.

Certifications and partnerships
...more than just a seal or a logo – they are an expression of our commitment to quality and sustainability. Through close cooperation with trusted organizations, we ensure that our products not only taste great but are also produced under fair and environmentally friendly conditions.

These certifications are some of our promises to you – for coffee that takes responsibility! For example, the Rainforest Alliance guarantees environmentally friendly cultivation methods, while TÜV Austria ensures the highest quality standards. Our Naturland-certified coffees promote organic farming and social justice. With Fairtrade, we ensure fair prices for coffee farmers, and our organic certification guarantees cultivation without chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

In-house production
We do as much as possible ourselves. All coffee beans are gently and slowly roasted in our own coffee roastery in Breitengüßbach. This means greater flexibility for us, shorter transport routes, and lower CO2 emissions. It also gives us better control over our work processes, which has a direct, positive impact on the quality of our products.

Our roastery in Breitengüßbach, Bavaria
All of our products are passionately crafted by our master roasters right here at the gates of the World Heritage Site of Bamberg. We've been using the traditional drum roasting method for over 90 years – and you can taste it! Every step of the roasting process takes place in-house, and our team ensures that every sip is a true taste experience. Quality is our top priority! If you're ever driving along the A73 near Bamberg, keep the windows open: the aroma of freshly roasted coffee is guaranteed to put a smile on your face!

A matter of the heart
As an owner-managed medium-sized company, we are happy to take on responsibility – both in the coffee's countries of origin and in our own region. Each of our social projects has become a true labor of love, together with our employees.

Bamberg, Bavaria
Cooperation with Bamberger Tafel eV
The aid organization Bamberger Tafel eV collects high-quality food that is close to or at its best-before date.
from companies in the region and distributes them to those in need.

Oberschwarzach, Bavaria
Cooperation with the Erich Kästner Children's Village
The Erich Kästner Children's Village helps children from difficult family backgrounds, those with behavioral problems, or those who have experienced psychological and physical violence. We cooperate with the association "Bread and Books", which has provided significant funding for many of the children's village's projects for over 20 years. These include a dedicated school for children and young people with complex trauma, a residential and therapy center, a greenhouse, a fruit plantation, and a mill wheel for sustainable power generation.

Tanzania
Construction of a "Minges House" as a school-like accommodation for children and young people
Tanzania is a country dominated by agriculture. Children in remote, rural areas often have no opportunity to attend school because the journey to the nearest school would be too long.
Together with Brot und Bücher eV we are financing the expansion of one of the few existing continuing education schools.

Nongstoin
Girls Home as safe accommodation
In the highlands of Meghalaya, northeast India, we have funded a "Girls' Home" together with Brot und Bücher eV (Bread and Books). There, Indo-Chinese girls from the surrounding area can live during school time, saving themselves long and dangerous commutes – from first to twelfth grade! Because supporting education and safety in the countries of origin of our coffee is a top priority for us. The Minges House was completed in 2022.
